The 3 AA Rosette restaurant headed up by Executive Chef, Robby Jenks, promises a very special gastronomic experience. Robby uses locally sourced, fresh ingredients to create simple but delicious menus. Perfect. But it will have to do.

Guests can also enjoy a more relaxed dining experience in the California Bar, which is accessed by stepping through the iconic glass wine vault and features a stunning floor to ceiling painting depicting the infamous Judgment of Paris wine tasting event.

The Spa

Christmas Eve – 24th December

From 3pm – Arrive at the hotel for a mulled wine and handmade mince pie reception, before settling in to your luxurious room, complete with your own personal Christmas tree.5pm – Raise a glass (or two) with us at our festive wine masterclass. From 6.30pm – Indulge in a delicious three course dinner in the elegance of our restaurant. 8pm – Our talented carol singers will be wishing you a Merry Christmas with a selection of your favourite festive songs.

Christmas Day – 25th December

By Road

From the M4 Westbound - Leave the M4 at junction 13, signed A34 Newbury / Winchester / Southampton. Ignoring the first turning for Newbury, follow the A34 southbound towards Winchester/Southampton. Take the second exit signed A4 Newbury/Hungerford (Donnington/Speen). At the roundabout turn right onto the A4, signed Hungerford/Oxford/The Midlands, go over the A34 and at the next roundabout take the second exit onto 84000. The Vineyard is located 500 metres on the right-hand side.

From the M4 Eastbound
Leave the M4 at junction 14, take the first left and briefly join the A338 towards Oxford, Turn right onto the 84000 and pass over the M4 following signs to Newbury. Continue through the village of Wickham, and continue through Stockcross. The Vineyard is located 500 metres out of Stockcross on the left-hand side.

From the A34 Oxford
Pass straight under the M4 and follow the signs for Newbury/Southampton/Winchester. Ignoring the first turning for Newbury, follow the A34 southbound towards Winchester/Southampton.

By Train

Newbury Train Station is located in the town centre, just a 10 minute taxi ride from The Vineyard. Newbury to Paddington on the train takes approximately 50 minutes.  Please enquire about a collection service. 

By Air

They are situated 45 minutes away from London Heathrow Airport and would be happy to arrange a collection service on your behalf. Just next door to The Vineyard is a helipad that guests are able to use. If arriving by helicopter, please call them on 01635 528770 prior to your journey.

Highclere Castle

Home of the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, and of the well-loved television show Downton Abbey, this beautiful house is a very popular destination. The history of its ancestors can be traced back to an Iron Age Hill Fort that dominates the southern landscape at Highclere. Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery at Laverstoke Mill

With a mill on-site since at least 903 AD, this site has over 1000 years of history and is in an area of conservation. The entire production of Bombay Sapphire Gin takes place here in the sleepy North Hampshire village of Whitchurch. The entire site is self-sufficient, using energy from the River Test, the purest chalk-stream in the UK, which runs through the grounds. The building itself is a marvel to see – part Victorian, part new-age – with an ineractive and eye-opening tour.  Not only this but you can try the botanicals which make up the gin – and the gin itself!
