Taking in the dramatic canopy of trees, the gated entrance and the sweeping driveway that leads up to Ness Walk, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re in the middle of the Scottish countryside. But what makes this Highlands hotel so unique is its promise of a beautifully secluded atmosphere right in the heart of the vibrant city of Inverness.

This idyllic retreat is nestled on the leafy banks of the River Ness, just ten minutes from the world-famous Loch Ness and its tales of a mysterious monster lurking in its depths. Highland hospitality is one of many gems to be discovered at Ness Walk, not least of which is the Grade B listed building itself. Originally a 19th-century house, it has been lovingly restored to unify its magnificent period features with contemporary architecture in a flawless fusion of old and new.

A passion for local produce is at the core of Ness Walk’s dining experience, and the quintessentially Scottish cuisine at Torrish – a firm fixture on the Highlands’ gastronomic map – is not to be missed. The Torrish bar is equally alluring, its open fire, high corniced ceilings and lavish furnishings providing a coolly sophisticated setting for indulging in a wee dram of Scotch whisky or a signature Ness Legend cocktail (well, when in Rome…).

A firm fixture on the Highlands’ gastronomic map, our restaurant Torrish delivers an exceptional dining experience!  Located in the original 19th-century drawing room, there’s a strong sense of occasion with unspoiled views over the River Ness.

The menu in Torrish is a winning mix of curiosity, discovery and adventure! At its core is the finest local produce to be found in the Highlands; we ensure your experience is rich in flavour, texture and innovation. Our Executive Chef works with his own local forager and organic vegetable farm to grow his supply of vegetables and salads. He can also be seen regularly in our herb garden, clipping the freshest herbs used to enhance the dishes – it’s that local and fresh!  This delectable menu is complimented by an impressive wine list of 154 bins……and growing.

Also worth knowing

In addition to Torrish, we have the original art deco terrace looking out over the courtyard and down to the riverside.  A wonderful spot for afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks.

Ness Walk is easily accessible for 3 championship golf courses, hunting, fishing and plentiful walking routes.  Stunning scenery is what we boast about most!  Our fleet of luxury vehicles can transfer you to many of the local golf courses and beauty spots.

The bespoke carpet has been designed to reflect the eddies of the river Ness and the design symbolically calms around your bed! Each room is finished to the very highest level of detailing; impressive marble, crisp linens, luxurious leathers and warm velvets combine to create a sanctuary to relax and unwind.

Impressive detailing reaches new heights in our two suites.  Both bright and flooded with light, we introduce to you the Rowan and Wellingtonia Suites.

At 90 sqm, the Wellingtonia Suite is undoubtedly the “best room in the Highlands.” Abundant space to arrive, settle in and spread out! Lavish furnishings and décor create a contemporary but elegant space, complete with a serene lounge and private dining.  Filled with natural charm, it is an idyllic setting for both entertaining and relaxing.
