This year’s trends
According to GP & J Baker – home to some of the world’s most beautiful fabrics and wallcoverings – this is the year of green. From gorgeous dark green printed velvets to zingy citrus silks, it’s a hue that works in every room.
However, this spring, neutrals in ivory, parchment, dove grey and the newest blush pink are popular too.
This year also sees a move towards a new generation of stunning wide-width textural sheers in an unexpected palette of colours. From mineral shades such as pewter, silver and bronze lightening into soft pinks, creams and ivories, these light-diffusing fabrics can create the most atmospheric and glamorous environment.
Another coveted fabric this season is pure linen. Its simplicity, robust texture and its ability to absorb rich, saturated colours makes it extremely versatile – great for relaxed upholstery and stylish curtains.
Proud of its British heritage whilst offering a contemporary vision, the company’s seven inspiring and trend-setting brands are GP & J Baker, Kravet, Mulberry Home, Threads, Baker Lifestyle, Lee Jofa and Brunschwig & Fils.
