From the results of a global survey carried out by our friends at Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), as reported in the September issue of Boutique Hotelier magazine, the top factor influencing a booking decision is whether an establishment has “an air of character/charm” which was selected by well over 50% of respondents.
We couldn’t agree more. Although character and charm are difficult attributes to quantify, beyond the crude scale of a star rating system, they are extremely important to our guests. That is why hotels applying for membership of Pride of Britain are subject to a system of inspection and voting that is controlled by the members themselves.
We may not be global, but we do strive to present the best of British luxury with all its charms.
