A 45-minute ferry ride from Oban brings you to Mull, arguably the most interesting and varied of the Hebrides. Landing mid way up the island you can head north to the main town of Tobermory. This picturesque town with its different coloured houses also has a superb fish restaurant for lunch. Alternatively head south and visit the island of Iona where Christianity first began. There is an interesting old ruined Abbey on Iona. It is also possible to take a trip to Staffa where if you are lucky you may see Puffins in their natural habitat.
