Owned and run by the Grose family since 1896, The Thurlestone is more than a family concern, it’s a family passion, with every generation adding to the special identity and amenities that keep the hotel in a class of its own. Surrounded by sub-tropical gardens, the hotel is just a short walk from a beautiful “Blue Flag” sandy beach overlooking the picturesque “thirled stone” rock, which gives the area its name. This stunning vista is also a feature of the luxurious Sea View rooms, some of which have their own large balconies.
The delightful National Trust coastline offers scenic cliff walks and, for boating enthusiasts, Salcombe is only a short distance away. In addition, the hotel has its own extensive indoor and outdoor facilities, including a 9-hole golf course.
Its AA rosetted restaurant, with picture windows and stunning views, offers a contemporary slant on traditional Devon fare, using fresh local produce. Lighter meals are available in the Terrace Bar, by the pool in the al fresco Rock Pool, or in the Village Inn, a 16th century pub owned by the hotel.

Directions
By Road
On M5 at J31 continue forward onto A38 (Plymouth bound). At Buckfastleigh on the A38, take the A384 into Totnes, then the A381 towards Kingsbridge. After 10 miles, turn right at a mini-roundabout onto A379 towards Churchstow. At the roundabout beyond Churchstow, turn left onto B3197 then right into a line signposted to Thurlestone.
