About The Nare Hotel

Overlooking Carne beach and surrounded by subtropical gardens and National Trust land, The Nare's peaceful seclusion and traditional English country house style make it ideal for lazing or for exploring the coastline and villages of the glorious Roseland Peninsula. Considered by many to be the most comfortable hotel in Cornwall, The Nare has been the highest-rated four-star hotel in the county for over a decade.

Guests have a choice of dining. The formal dining room serves a traditional table d'hôte menu for dinner and Sunday lunch. The Quarterdeck is a more relaxed grillroom-style restaurant where locally caught seafood is a speciality. It is open all year for morning coffee, light luncheons, Cornish cream teas and relaxed dining in the evening. Using the finest local Cornish produce, the hotel enjoys a reputation for delicious food, and has a well stocked wine cellar.

For complete relaxation, there is an indoor swimming pool with hot spa, which complements the sauna, steam room and aromatherapy treatments. Also on hand are a resident hairdresser and beautician. The Nare is well located for Cornwall's renowned gardens.

Children

Several suites and rooms are specially designed to accommodate families and, for those holidaying without their nanny, baby-sitting can be arranged with Reception. The safe, sandy beach with shallows, rock pools and an easy approach from the garden is a child's paradise. The sheltered bay is perfect for safe swimming.

ACTIVITIES

An indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a health and beauty spa, a croquet lawn, a billiards room and a hot tub overlooking a perfect Cornish beach Additional notes: The Nare is are the only Four Red Star hotel in Cornwall and has been the highest rated hotel in Cornwall every year for the last 15 years. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Nare, in the gardens, and in your room. All dogs checking into the hotel are charged and have dinner included from their own Table d'Hôte menu. Dogs are welcome to "stretch their legs" in the field behind the car park.

Interesting Extras

The Nare also has its own yacht, a Cornish Crabber called the Maggie O'Nare. Skippered by Toby Ashworth, it is available for private hire and is ideal for mackerel fishing, exploring creeks, swimming from and gentle sailing on Carrick Roads and the Fall River.

Hotel Bar

The Cocktail Bar - The Drawing Room and the Sitting Room are traditionally decorated with lots of sofas and armchairs to relax in, read the papers and even enjoy a quiet snooze.

Dining

The Dining Room boasts magnificent sea views on three sides and offers a traditional five-course Table d'Hôte dining. The menu, which changes every evening, is a classic silver service affair with a fabulous hors d'oeuvres trolley, flambés and homemade puddings.

The Quarterdeck restaurant is open all day serving morning coffee, lunches, afternoon tea and relaxed evening dining. The informal atmosphere makes it a good place to meet up with friends and family at any time of the day. In the evenings this is where we serve an early supper for younger children and this restaurant is the place that families choose to dine together.

Children's early dinner is served on the Quarterdeck, since young guests (under sevens) are not expected in the Dining Room in the evenings. For families with young who all wish to dine together The Quarterdeck Restaurant is a popular proposition and is much appreciated as an additional alternative.

Dress code: Most gentlemen prefer to wear a jacket and tie in the Dining Room.

Room service: 24 hours.
