Facilities

Eshott Hall is a privately owned elegant boutique hotel located between Morpeth and Alnwick, in the heart of Northumberland and is one of the most beautiful 17th century country houses in the area.

Built between 1588-1600 the Hall and estate was bought in 1877 by Emerson Bainbridge, founder of the worlds’ first department store Bainbridge’s of Newcastle. Recently the Hall has undergone multi-million pound restoration and refurbishment to become the most luxurious country house hotel in the region. Within the 55 acres are landscaped gardens, woodland, tennis court, fernery, lake and functioning kitchen garden.

Each of the 11 en-suite bedrooms has been individually designed and furnished, combining traditional style with modern touches. Each room boasts views across the gardens and woodland. Guests are welcomed by rich colours emanating from the Entrance Hall’s stained glass window whilst the Library, with its atmosphere of a ‘gentleman’s club’, along with the elegant Drawing Room are perfect to relax and unwind.

The intimate Dining Room and bright airy Ballroom provide the perfect setting for dinner. Dining is a wonderful experience; Head Chef, Chris Wood, creates exciting and innovative menus from fresh, locally sourced ingredients including the hotel’s kitchen garden.

The Hall and its self-catering properties can also be hired exclusively for groups.
