Located on the Somerset- Devon border, adjacent to a 220 acre nature reserve with fishing lakes, Bindon is a perfect base from which to explore the West Country and visit many of the regions attractions. Alternately just relax and enjoy the tranquillity of our formal gardens and mixed woodland.

Garden break
Behind-the-scenes guided tours of some fascinating West Country gardens – including several not normally open to the public – are available from 17th-century Bindon Country House near Wellington, in Somerset. A two-night break on May 6 and 7 takes in four gardens including Wayford Manor near Crewkerne, a private Harold Peto-designed garden with terraces, courtyards, pools and arbours; and The Old Coach House at Bettiscombe, Dorset – home of the well-known garden designer and writer Penelope Hobhouse. The break costs £550 and include two nights at Bindon with breakfast and dinner, plus transport, coffee, lunch and tea at gardens and talks with owners or head gardeners.
